APPRAISAL SERVICE

If you need to determine the value of a piece of jewelry, Zerbe Jewelers is here to help. Four of our staff have gemological titles ranging from Graduate Gemologist (GIA) to Certified Gemologist (AGS) to two Certified Gemologist Appraisers (AGS).

For your valuation needs ranging from insurance to estate and probate or for divisional purposes Zerbe Jewelers now uses the services of a professional full time appraiser. This individual is highly skilled both in gemological matters and in the science of valuation. You can call in at 635-3521 and make an appointment for an appraisal. You can then drop your items off beforehand and pick them up when the appraisal is completed or even arrange to meet with the appraiser and stay on site during the process. It generally takes one week between when the initial work is done to final completion of the appraisal documents.

Appraisal costs are based on the time it takes to complete the work, never is it based on the value of the item.
